Employment - Unfair dismissal - Reason for dismissal - Range of reasonable responses test.

The Case

In determining that an employee had been unfairly dismissed, an employment tribunal had not made its own assessment of the evidence but examined the appropriateness of the conclusion which the employer had reached from the standpoint of a reasonable employer. In those circumstances, the tribunal had been entitled to come to the conclusion that it had.
