Solicitor - Negligence - Damages - Inadequate advice - Solicitor failing to advise on liability to third party - Judge finding solicitor negligent - Judge making no award as to damages - Whether judge correct.
Where a solicitor had been negligent in not acting on a request by a client no damages could be recovered in the instant case because, although damages were foreseeable, the client's liability for such damages would have been the same had the solicitor acted on the client's request.
