David Chalk

David was the founding Head of Law from 2006 to 2009 having joined the University from Anglia Ruskin University where he was Principal Lecturer in Law. He has taught law at undergraduate level for over 30 years and has also taught at Masters level and at the vocational stage for both barristers (BVC) and solicitors (LPC). He is also an established presenter for solicitors' continuing professional education.

David's main undergraduate teaching is in the law of contract and he also teaches criminal law and skills such as mooting and negotiation. At the practitioner level his subject is dispute resolution and particularly litigation costs a field in which he has been very active for over ten years.
