Richard Bussell

Richard is Joint Global Head of the Linklaters Restructuring and Insolvency team. Richard has led on many of the firm’s leading transactions and continues to provide transactional and strategic advice to key market participants.
Richard advises on cross border single credit restructurings, insolvency transactions and bank and financial service sector restructurings and resolutions. Richard’s recent transactions include: the curatorship and resolution plan of African Bank (South Africa), the recovery and insolvency of Snoras Bank (Lithuania), the consensual restructuring of Zim Shipping (Israel), the financial restructuring of GGP (Italy), the refinancing of Essar Oil UK (UK), the administration of Globo plc (UK), the financial restructuring of a luxury goods business (France), the liability management of a Greek bank (Greece). Richard is currently involved in a number of oil and gas and commodity related assignments.
