Carol-Ann is a specialist in insurance and financial services regulation, with almost 20 years' experience in the sector. Carol-Ann has a unique understanding of financial services regulation and policy, having worked in senior positions at the UK's financial services regulator, in private practice in the UK and UAE and as in house regulatory counsel at one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds. Insurance & Transactional Carol-Ann focuses on complex insurance and reinsurance matters including life insurance. Her transactional practice covers business transfers, complex risk transfers, including ILS and longevity solutions, distribution, restructuring, run off, and other exit strategies, as well as general corporate transactions. Financial Services Regulation Carol-Ann's practice covers all aspects of financial services regulation and regulatory processes and compliance, including authorisations and changes in control. She has been involved in the development and implementation of regulatory strategy, both during her time at the regulator as well as through her involvement with a number of industry associations.
