Ahmed Bobat

Ahmed is a solicitor in the Finance Team at Pinsent Masons, Dubai. He has spent a number of years in the region, having lived in both the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ahmed is currently in the first of his four seats and is looking to qualify in the Middle East, after having completed seats in Dubai and London. Ahmed has acted on a number of deals in the region, including:

• advising Unique Maritime Group on a USD27 million acquisition facility provided by Standard Chartered Bank
• advising a large interior design company on a capital injection and share sale worth AED410 million
• advising a UAE bank on debt restructuring totalling over AED770 million
• advising a listed company on a AED50 million murabaha facility provided by a regional bank, using the DMCC commodities exchange as the trading platform
• advising a major Abu Dhabi Islamic bank in relation to a AED74.5 million istisna and ijara real-estate financing provided to a regional investment entity
• advising on the establishment of a new investment bank in the Abu Dhabi Global Markets
