Best student: Post-graduate degree in Finance Law, graduated with honors, Universidad de los Andes 1995. Law Degree, Universidad de los Andes 1994. Juan Fernando Gaviria is known for his experience providing successful advice to foreign and local financial entities in financial regulatory matters. Additionally, Juan Fernando has advice local issuers and international banks in security issuance in Colombia as well as in the international market. Furthermore, he has been professor of law (contracts and corporations) in the Universidad de los Andes 1999-2003, and assistant professor of law (contracts and negotiable instruments) in the Universidad de los Andes 1995-1997 Before joining Philippi, Prietocarrizosa & Uría, Juan Fernando was in-house counsel, of different financial institutions, such as Banco Andino (1997), Fiduciaria Davivienda (1995), Leasing Colmena (1994), and Colombian Leasing Companies Federation.
