Biography

Qualified early 1977 with Norton Rose Botterell & Roche (now Norton Rose) as a general corporate and banking lawyer.

Moved late 1979 to the inhouse Legal function of NatWest Bank as was and eventually became Group Solicitor and Head of Legal 1993. Following the Royal Bank takeover in 2000 I spent a couple of years mainly occupied with integration matters and then moved across in 2002 to head up the Legal Function for what had been created as the International Private Banking arm of the merged Group with Coutts as its flagship.

Retired from full time RBSG employment October 2009 and since operated as a legal consultant (TW Consulting) predominantly for the International Trust and Fiduciary Services business of RBSG.
