Biography

Thomas has a strong commercial / chancery practice and has appeared in courts and professional tribunals up to and including the Court of Appeal. He has particular experience of large scale litigation and advisory work relating to commercial disputes, occupational pension schemes, insolvency and regulatory action. Thomas has been instructed by the Pensions Regulator in several complex multi-jurisdictional commercial cases raising issues of commercial and insolvency law, most notably in the Nortel/Lehman case. The legal directories hail him as an up-and-coming star of the future: “His votaries say that ‘he offers a very supportive service’, has an excellent work rate and is ‘very good at handling a massive caseload’.” They also describe him as “an excellent advocate with a fine academic mind”.
