Thomas Leary

Tom Leary commands a diverse practice in all areas of commercial litigation and arbitration, including banking, civil fraud, energy and international trade. He frequently represents clients in High Court litigation and international arbitration. Tom’s recent work includes the Waterfall III insolvency litigation, a six-week hearing of a US$200 million claim against a Caribbean state for breaches of a development agreement, and claims against a Norwegian billionaire for alleged fraud and asset recovery.

Prior to commencing practice at the Bar, Tom studied law at Oxford, Leiden and Toronto. He also worked as the editor of the official law reports for the Cayman Islands, Gibraltar and Guernsey, and as the Judicial Assistant to Lord Mance in the Supreme Court.
