Sarah is a Legal Director in the EU & Competition team in DLA Piper's Regulatory Group with over 10 years competition law experience. Sarah advises on all aspects of competition law, including competition litigation, European Commission investigations, CMA investigations and inquiries and merger control. Sarah also advises on the behavioural aspects of competition law, compliance and general commercial competition law advice. Sarah also advises in relation to other aspects of European law including internal markets, free movement and anti-dumping law. Sarah also has significant experience in the Financial Services sector and has acted for numerous financial institutions. She advised clients in relation to the Payment Protection Insurance and Home Credit Market Inquires. She acted for a major bank in relation to the Equity Underwriting Market Study. Sarah has significant experience in contentious competition matters. She represented a client as a contribution defendant in the paraffin wax cartel follow on damages action in the English High Court. Sarah also advised on a successful appeal of the OFT's construction cartel decision in the Competition Appeal Tribunal. Sarah is represented a client in relation to one of the European Commission's pay for delay cases and is now advising on an appeal to the European General Court. She is also acting in relation to the CMA's on-going pay for delay investigation.
