Ronan's practice covers immigration and asylum law including appeals to Adjudicators, tribunals and the Court of Appeal and applications for judicial review.
Background
Ronan was employed by Wilson and Co. Solicitors as an immigration caseworker for seven years prior to joining the Bar. He had conduct of a large immigration and asylum case-load including appeals to the Immigration Appellate Authority and Court of Appeal and applications for judicial review (including Akdogan [1995] Imm AR and Adan [1997] Imm AR). He also represented many of his own clients before Adjudicators and tribunals. He visited Kenya and Djibouti on a number of occasions in order to report on conditions for Somali refugees and take statements in support of asylum and family reunion appeals.
