Ronald is a partner in Bird & Bird's Commercial Group based in London and member of their
Major Programmes Team.

Ronald’s practice covers the full range of communications, IT and outsourcing matters, comprising both procurement and in-life contract management issues. Many of Ronald’s projects involve complex supply chains, the use of innovative technologies, high levels of security and services, clients or markets that are regulated or of critical (national) importance (including healthcare, energy, defence and financial services). Ronald has worked for a wide range of clients, both in the public and private sector, for suppliers and customers alike.

As part of his work Ronald has been working very closely with his clients, spending nearly 2 years on secondment as in-house counsel responsible for the day-to-day legal and commercial assistance on a £750m+ data services contract. Ronald originally qualified as a lawyer in The Netherlands, before becoming a solicitor.
