Rodney Craig is a commercial and corporate lawyer specialising in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and advising early-stage and growth businesses.

  • advising market participants, listed issuers and substantial security holders on the rules regulating both the primary and secondary markets in New Zealand, including the Takeovers Code, the NZX Listing Rules, the NZX Participant Rules, and the Clearing & Depository Rules. Rodney helps NZX Firms and other market participants with the range of documentation required to comply with their obligations and manage risk, including agreements with clients, institutions and intermediaries.
  • providing corporate and commercial law advice to public and private sector clients across a range of industries. This includes advising in relation to commercial contracts (supply and distribution agreements, shareholder agreements, and joint ventures) as well as developing and implementing suitable business structures, whether for specific ventures or ongoing operations.
  • assisting early-stage and growth businesses with their legal needs: from day-to-day contracting and compliance issues through to advising on expansion activities and other significant transactions (such as raising capital, the entry or exit of shareholders, entering into joint ventures, or restructuring the business).
  • significant experience across all merger and acquisition types: including public takeovers, private sales, management buy-ins/buy-outs, contested bids and amalgamations/mergers.
