Biography

Richard specialises in general commercial litigation, in particular banking, financial services regulation, insolvency, commercial fraud and general contractual disputes. He has significant experience of acting both as a sole advocate and as part of a larger counsel team on substantial matters.

Richard is frequently instructed by retail and investment banks. Recently he has been involved in acting for a number of retail banks in interest rate swap disputes, PPI litigation and test cases relating to consumer credit act matters. He is also currently acting for UBS in respect of a claim concerning a secured credit linked deposit agreement, and has experience of disputes arising from other complex financial products.
