Peter Gausden

Peter Gausden was admitted as a solicitor in 1973 and following a spell in private practice in the westcountry, he spent his time in legal education with the College of Law until semi-retirement in 2009. Having always specialised in probate and private client matters, he now works on a freelance basis having contributed to a number of legal publications including the Wills and Intestacy volumes of Halsbury's Laws of England, Tolley's Guidance (IHT, Trusts and Estates) and Tolley's Administration of Estates. He is still involved with legal education, holding various appointments including external examiner for the Legal Practice Course with the SRA and Chief Examiner for the ILEX Level 6 Probate Practice Head of the Fellowship examination. He maintains regular contact with private practice as a consultant with Rowlinsons, Solicitors, Frodsham Cheshire (www.rowlinsonssolicitors.co.uk) where he advises on aspects of probate, trusts and estate planning.
