Peter has a reputation as an innovative, reliable, and commercially aware lawyer, specialising in emerging markets transactions. He has been at the forefront of arranging debt, equity-linked and equity deals for Russian, eastern European and central Asian clients, and now also works across the wider emerging markets, including Africa and the Middle East. He has worked in both Prague and Moscow, where he advised underwriters on a series of groundbreaking deals for issuers such as Gazprom, TMK, Severstal, Rosneft, Transneft and MMK.

Apart from his technical expertise, Peter is recognised for his ability to organise deals to a successful and timely conclusion. Clients appreciate his proactive risk management, with his wide experience of the intricacies of emerging market deals giving him a keen awareness of where risks and sensitivities may emerge. He is now based in London, from where he continues to lead global teams handling complex cross-border deals.
