Natalia Nikitina is experienced in project and trade finance, secured transactions, corporate acquisitions and general corporate law. She has experience advising on legal issues relating to currency regulation, licensing, securities, real estate, intellectual property and corporate law. Natalia has experience in the oil and precious metals industries and has acted for a variety of clients and advised on a number of projects involving financings by international banks and financial institutions of Russian natural resources and telecommunications companies.

Her recent experience includes advising:

  • IFC and the EBRD on a US$150 million financing of Russia's privately owned SUAL Middle-Timan mine, situated 250 km south of the Arctic Circle
  • West LB on an unsecured US$215 million loan and on a US$150 million unsecured loan facility to Gazprom
  • HypoVereinsbank, ABN Amro, Dexia and WestLB as arrangers of a US$450 million secured pre-export financing for Gazprom
  • The EBRD on a US$200 million secured project financing to SeverTEK, a joint venture of LUKOIL and Fortum Oyj, to develop the South Shapkino oil field located in the Nenets Autonomous District of Russia
  • The EBRD in connection with a US$250 million loan to Gazprom
  • Credit Lyonnais on a US$1.2 billion secured bridge loan facility and a US$3 billion medium-term secured credit facility to Gazprom
  • The EBRD on a US$90 million secured financing of Rosneft-Sakhalinmorneftegaz
  • The EBRD on a US$150 million secured financing to LUKOIL
  • Major European banks on providing secured and unsecured financings to Gazprom
  • IFC on several major financings to Russian natural-resource companies
  • Several foreign telecommunication companies on aspects of Russian corporate law, including restructuring and regulatory issues
