Michael Zander is an Emeritus Professor of Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Senior Fellow of the British Academy. In 1997 he was made an Honorary QC and in 2010 he received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from King's College, London. His main fields of interest include civil procedure, criminal procedure, the legal system and the legal profession.

Michael Zander was the Consultant of the Courts title and the Contempt of Court title for the Fifth Edition of Halsbury's Laws of England.
