Michael is a specialist in non-contentious construction law. Since qualification he has advised developers, contractors, consultants, landowners, banks, pension funds, housing associations and local authorities on construction procurement strategy and the drafting and negotiation of all forms of construction documentation, including building contracts, appointments, warranties, bonds, guarantees, development agreements, agreements for lease and funding agreements. Michael also has experience in PFI transactions and international power projects.
Michael qualified at Edward Lewis solicitors and on qualification moved to Linklaters. After 3 years there he moved to Trowers & Hamlins and then to Nabarro, where he spent 5 years. Michael joined LexisNexis in February 2011 and is Head of LexisPSL Construction. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Michael worked as a quantity surveyor for several major construction companies and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
