Biography

Micael focuses on litigation, his clients include retail chains, fashion houses and brands, media/digital players. He heads the dispute resolution team (ranked by Legal500 and Chambers & Partners since respectively 2006 and 2009). His experience includes a broad range of matters, including commercial and business and intellectual property disputes as well as arbitration, often with a significant cross‐border element.

Micael has 18 years of experience in all forms of commercial and corporate litigation (contractual disputes, corporate related matters, unfair competition, etc.), interim and injunctive proceedings, proceedings before the competition and consumers authority and other Italian agencies, arbitration proceedings (including ad hoc and managed arbitration) serving as counsel and arbitrator, and mediation.

Micael speaks often at seminars and roundtables and authors articles on litigation and arbitration topics. For example, Micael was among the panelists at the seminar of the American Bar Association ‐ International Law Section (co‐sponsored by the International Litigation and Intellectual Property committees) on “Safeguarding Your Business Cross‐Border: How to Protect Corporate IP, Trade Secrets and Information Systems in a Globalized Economy” held on April 30, 2015.

Since 2010 he has been a contributor for Italy to Doing Business, Enforcing Contracts, published by the World Bank.

He is the Vice‐Chair of the International Litigation Committee of ABA’s International Law Section and also of the same section’s committees on Intellectual Property and Privacy, E-Commerce and Data Security. He is also a member of ICC, IBA and AIJA.
