Melanie is a solicitor with 12 year’s PQE specialising in general commercial, IP/IT and digital media law.

Her career has included private-practice experience at Eversheds and Addleshaw Goddard, however her main expertise has been in the in-house environment, notching up experience at GEC Alsthom, British Aerospace, Vertex, MyTravel Group plc and more recently as General Counsel for Latitude Digital marketing. Melanie is a social media evangelist, tweeting as @in_house_lawyer and ruminating on how lawyers can use social media to its best effect on her In-house lawyer blog. She was included in Legal Week's "Tech Savvy Lawyer" round-up (November 2010) and The Times Law's "Top 10 Legal Tweeter" list (January 2011).
