Biography

The range of Mark’s work varies considerably from drawdowns under Euro Medium Term Programmes (EMTN) to convertible and exchangeable bonds, as well as the structuring of Capital Requirements Directive (CRD IV)-compliant bank capital issues. He acts for issuers of bonds and other parties, including dealers and lead managers.

Mark aims to be very responsive in his approach to client requirements, recognising that they are, above all, looking for excellent levels of service, as well as legal know-how. His over-riding aim is to achieve the client’s objectives through a practical and business-like approach, combined with considerable experience and depth of market knowledge.

Mark's global experience includes spells spent in Hong Kong and Germany. He became a partner in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 1989. He is listed as a leading individual in the finance section of the 2011 edition of Legal 500.
