Biography

Mark Fennessy is a partner in the firm's Business Solutions & Governance Group and heads the firm's European Restructuring Group.

Mark has extensive knowledge of, and experience in, all areas of contentious and non-contentious turnaround and insolvency matters. His particular strengths lie in dealing with multifaceted group collapses and insolvency issues, which are of an international nature. Mark has been involved in a number of financing and re-financing assignments for banks and funds in a range of sectors, and more recently, acted for Capita and Wilmington Trust on a range of international restructurings, various parties in relation to Nortel and Lehman Brothers, the restructuring of the Cheyne Finance, Rhinebridge, Whistlejacket and Sigma Structured Investment Vehicles and had recent involvement on Polestar and Wind Hellas.

The work on Cheyne Finance led to Mark and the restructuring team receiving the award for "Restructuring of the Year" at the 2009 IFLR awards.
