Associate, Maples and Calder

Biography

Malachi is a qualified barrister with a background in construction who practised at the Four Courts for a number of years before joining the dispute resolution team in Maples and Calder in 2010. Since then he has been involved in a number of high-value construction arbitrations, in which, as well as being responsible for witness handling, drafting of pleadings, document management and liaison with experts, he also acted as advocate. In 2012 Malachi attended sessions of the IBA annual conference, held in Dublin, as rapporteur and has also contributed to the IBA Arbitration Journal.

Malachi is also a member of the financial services regulatory enforcement team at Maples and Calder, and in addition to advising regulated entities in relation to their obligations, he is currently acting for a broad range of clients in commercial litigation dealing with disputes ranging from pension entitlements to the tax treatment of transactions.
