Biography
Ken Ziman is one of the deputy practice leaders of Skadden’s Corporate Restructuring Group. He regularly represents clients in out-of-court restructurings and in-court proceedings. Mr. Ziman focuses on representing troubled companies and advising lenders in connection with their loans to troubled companies through all stages of the restructuring process. He advises clients in connection with workouts, the formulation and development of out-of-court restructurings or Chapter 11 plans, and debtor-in-possession and exit financings. In addition, Mr. Ziman also represents investors in and acquirers of financially distressed companies in workouts and Chapter 11 cases and provides advice regarding the structuring of corporate transactions.
Most recently, Mr. Ziman has acted as counsel to MF Global Holdings Ltd. in its Chapter 11 case. In addition, Mr. Ziman has represented Vertis Holdings Inc. and its subsidiaries in their prepackaged Chapter 11 cases; DISH Network Corporation in its acquisition of bankruptcy satellite operator DBSD, North America, Inc.; Marsico Capital Management, LLC in its out-of-court exchange offer and restructuring; and Gramercy Capital Corporation in the pre-arranged out-of-court restructuring of its AFRT subsidiary.
