Kathryn is a technical accountant who originally trained with one of the big accountancy firms. For the three years prior to joining Herbert Smith she worked for the Accounting Standards Board, the UK accounting standard setter.

Kathryn advises the firm across its international office network on accounting and auditing issues, as well as advising clients directly on such matters. Kathryn also identifies new or potential risk areas for clients in order to keep them aware of important developments in the accounting and auditing environment. Kathryn is based in the corporate division in London.

She is Chairman of the Financial Reporting Advisory Board to HM Treasury, Chairman of the ICAEW Financial Reporting Committee and is a member of the CBI Financial Reporting Panel.
