Ian Jones is the former Head of the Real Estate Legal team at BT plc, a post he held between April 2004 and 2010. He is a solicitor with a broad legal experience, including property, corporate/commercial and insolvency.

In 2001, he led the in-house BT Legal Team which completed the BT/Telereal sale and leaseback financing deal. He was involved in the innovative procurement of legal services for BT and has been extensively interviewed by the press on this subject. He is the author of Butterworths In-House Lawyers’ Handbook and a contributor to Butterworths Guide to the Legal Services Act.
