Mr Huw Cooke

Huw joined Burges Salmon as a trainee solicitor in September 1997 and qualified into the employment team in September 1999. Huw is a senior practitioner with substantial experience of advising international businesses about employment and business immigration issues. His areas of expertise are the employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions (including outsourcing, contracting, joint ventures and mergers), redundancies, restructuring and harmonisation of terms and conditions of employment, dismissal and negotiated departures of senior management and board members. Huw regularly trains HR teams on a range of issues including how to handle the departure of employees under compromise agreements, grievances and disciplinary issues, and performance management.
