David is a solicitor advocate specialising in contentious construction and engineering matters. His experience includes acting in domestic and international arbitration and litigation on behalf of national and international contractors and sub-contractors, public authorities, employers, insurers and institutions.
David was granted the Higher Courts (Civil Proceedings) qualification in 1995. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Member of the Society for Construction Law and of the Technology & Construction Court Solicitors’ Association. David is a contributor to Pittaway & Hammerton: Professional Negligence Cases, published by Butterworths.
David joined Speechly Bircham in 2004 as a partner. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1981. He took a degree in law at the University of Wales, Cardiff and obtained his MSc from King’s College, London; David is also an Associate of King’s College.
