Alan is a senior Competition Partner at Pinsent Masons. His expertise spans a broad range of UK and EU competition law, including merger control, joint ventures, anti-competitive agreements and practices including cartels, abuse of a dominant position and state aids. He has worked extensively with the European Commission, the OFT and the Competition Commission.

Alan has specialist experience of the banking, insurance, financial services, air transport, construction and manufacturing sectors. He is well regarded by clients, as much for his down to earth nature and responsiveness as his technical strength. Alan is published regularly and speaks at competition law and industry events.
