Biography
Adam is a partner at Lawrence Graham LLP in Pensions. His expertise includes:
- All areas of the law relating to occupational and personal pension schemes, including their establishment, funding issues, administration, alteration, taxation, closure and winding-up
- The merger of occupational pension schemes
- The pensions aspects of multi-jurisdictional and UK private acquisitions and disposals, including the moral hazard provisions of the Pensions Act 2004 and the making of clearance applications to the UK Pensions Regulator
- The pensions aspects of IPOs (including AIM) and demergers
- The pensions aspects of PPP and PFI projects and public sector pension schemes for central and local government, banks and contractors
- Strategic reviews of employers' pension arrangements and the implementation of new benefit structures
- Employers' liabilities in relation to industry-wide pension schemes, such as the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme, Merchant Navy Occupational Pension Fund and the Pilots National Pension Fund
- Pensions aspects of the termination of employment
- Shareholder activism for trustees of occupational pension schemes and investment funds
