Aidan Vine

A family law specialist, Aidan's practice includes public and private law children's cases, vulnerable adults, ancillary relief and cohabitation disputes, and civil litigation arising out of family law (human rights, local authority duties, and negligence).

Aidan is an editor of Butterworths Family Law Service and the author of its chapters on Jurisdictions and Human Rights.

He was educated at Oxford University (at Lincoln College) and Cornell University in New York State (where he was a Telluride and Fullbright Scholar), and was called and joined chambers in 1995.

He has been a judicial assistant at the Court of Appeal and a temporary lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg in 2000.

Aidan is recommended for family law by the Legal 500.
