1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007 (Amendment No 2) Regulations 2009 and shall come into force on 1st October 2009.

2Amendments to the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007

(1)    The Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007 are amended by substituting for the form set out in Schedule 1 to those Regulations the form set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.

(2)    An application made on a form prescribed by Schedule 1 to the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007, as it was in force immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, shall be deemed to have been made on the corresponding form prescribed by Schedule 1 to these Regulations if received on or before 31st March 2010.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (Licences) Regulations 2007 by replacing the form prescribed for the purposes of section 8(2)(a) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (licences to engage in licensable conduct) with a new form, as set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations. Regulation 2(2) is a transitional provision allowing the existing application form to be used until 31st March 2010.
