EXPLANATORY NOTE

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order)

This Order declares the University of Winchester to be an exempt charity within the meaning of the Charities Act 1993 with effect from 8th June 2006. An exempt charity is not required to be registered with the Charity Commissioners and the Commissioners cannot exercise any powers under the Act in relation to an exempt charity except at the charity's request.
