This Order may be cited as the Education (Chief Inspector of Schools in England) Order 2006 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Christine Bridget Gilbert is appointed to the office of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools in England for a period of 5 years from 1st October 2006.

Maurice John Smith is re-appointed to the office of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools in England from the date on which this Order shall come into force until 30th September 2006.
