This Order may be cited as the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (Commencement No 10) Order 2005.

In this Order, “the Act” means the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002.

(1)    Subject to paragraph (2), section 1(1) and (2) of the Act shall come into force on 1st November 2005.

(2)    Section 1(1) and (2) of the Act shall come into force in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man on 1st May 2006.

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force section 1(1) and (2) of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 on 1st November 2005 except in relation to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man where these provisions will come into force on 1st May 2006.
