This Order may be cited as the Agency for International Trade Information and Co-operation (Legal Capacities) Order 2004. It shall come into force on the date on which the Agreement establishing the Agency for International Trade Information and Co-operation as an Intergovernmental Organisation enters into force in respect of the United Kingdom. This date shall be notified in the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes.

The Agency for International Trade Information and Co-operation shall have the legal capacities of a body corporate.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order)

This Order confers the legal capacities of a body corporate on the Agency for International Trade Information and Co-operation. This legal capacity is conferred in accordance with Article 13(1) of the Agreement establishing the Agency for International Trade Information and Co-operation as an Intergovernmental Organisation (Cm 5844). The Order will enable Her Majesty's Government to give effect to Article 13(1) of the Agreement, and will come into force on the date on which the Agreement enters into force in respect of the United Kingdom.
