(1) The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 5(3)(d) (notification) for “paragraph (1)(d)(iii)–(v) or (1)(e)” substitute “paragraph 4(a), (c), (h) or 5 in the Table”.
(3) In regulation 6(2) (contractor's certificate) for “paragraph 5” substitute “regulation 5(1)”.
(4) In regulation 10(1) (enforcement) for “Part I” substitute “Part II”.
(5) In Schedule 2 (requirements for water fittings)—
(a) in paragraph 14(2) (prevention of cross connection to unwholesome water), at the end insert “unless a device for preventing backflow is installed in accordance with paragraph 15.”;
(b) in paragraph 17(1)(a) (hot water services), for the words from “a vent pipe” to “relief valve” substitute “a temperature control device and either a temperature relief valve or a combined temperature and pressure relief valve”.

These Regulations make minor amendments to the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 to correct defects.
