These Directions may be cited as the Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossings General (Amendment) Directions 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998.

In direction 8(3) of the Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossings General Directions 1997, after the word “grey,” there shall be inserted “black,”.

These Directions amend direction 8(3) of the Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossings General Directions 1997 so that, where vehicular light signals, pedestrian light signals, an indicator for pedestrians or a pedestrian demand unit at a crossing is mounted on a post specially provided for the purpose, the colour black is added to the colours available for that part of the post extending above ground level.
