EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order)

Article 2 of this Order designates Community Initiatives Trust, Hounslow Cultural and Community Services and Hounslow Sport and Recreation Services as public bodies under section 1(5) of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970.

The effect of designation is to allow a local authority to provide goods and services to the designated bodies. By virtue of Article 3, the only authority permitted to do so is the London Borough of Hounslow, and the provision which that authority may make is restricted to administrative, professional or technical services in connection with the provision or management of leisure activities by the designated bodies within that authority's area.
