Forestry (Felling of Trees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013 (subscription)
SR 2013/139: The felling of trees in woodlands in Northern Ireland, including ancient and long-established woodlands, is regulated in order to support sustainable forestry, and with the aim of ensuring woodland owners give greater consideration to sustainability. The Regulations come into effect from 17 June 2013.

Registration of Social Workers and Social Service Workers in Care Services (Scotland) Regulations 2013 (subscription)
SSI 2013/Draft: Amendments are made to legislation on the registration of care service providers, social workers and social services workers and will come into force on 1 August 2013. Changes include allowing all social service workers a six month grace period to register.

Highway and Railway (Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project) Order 2013 (subscription)
SI 2013/Draft: All railway construction or alteration work taking place on existing railway operational land is excluded from the planning regime of the Planning Act 2008. Further, thresholds are introduced in relation to whether highways alterations are covered by the regime and no alteration will be included where it is in consequence of a separate development already granted planning permission. The amendments stem from a consultation started in December 2012.

Sexual Offences Act 2003 (Notification Requirements) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 (subscription)
SSI 2013/Draft: Convicted sex offenders in Scotland will be required to give police additional information when they intend to travel outside the UK. Those offenders without without a sole or main residence in the UK must now provide the police with information to the police on a weekly basis.

Legal Aid (Information about Financial Resources) (Amendment) Regulations 2013 (subscription)
SI 2013/Draft: Information may be requested of the Secretary of State in relation to information held by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) to determine the eligibility of an individual for legal aid. Armed forces independence payment (AFIP) is added to the list of prescribed benefits for the Legal Aid (Information about Financial Resources) Regulations 2013, SI 2013/628.
