So this post did not get uploaded properly last week so I'm throwing it on here with this weeks to follow!

For those studying Equity and Trust (myself included) this may be of some interest:

The Legal Services Board ("LSB") has completed an investigation into the the workings of the Will Writing Service Providers and the issues that flow from this unregulated field. Simple items such as names, amounts and dates have led to grave errors in be-questing property.

These errors have now led to the contemplation of the this area of the law being regulated by the LSB. In the next 18 months to two years, this area of the law may see dramatic changes.

In my opinion this is a great idea, as this provides consumer protection. The usual customer will not be able to enforce their rights once a Will is being used (considering the customer is usually dead at this point). Having a regulated field provides the consumer with a piece of mind, knowing that their affairs are settled in a proper and professional manner.
