Silk, BBC One's legal drama is back for a second series. For those of you who missed the first, it centres around 'Shoe Lane Chambers' and its resident barristers, including Martha Costello, a recently appointed QC. If you're interested in life at the bar I've heard from numerous sources that the picture portrayed, particularly with regards to the in-house politics and the work of the legal clerks, is very representative. It can also serve as a much needed revision break! The episode which aired last Tuesday brought up various legal issues. For those who have studied criminal litigation, the Turnbull guidelines with regards to visual evidence were referred to, additionally, the episode focused on the law of duress. It's definitely worth a watch!
