LexisNexis - Semester 2 Drop in sessions
Drop in sessions will resume on the 1st February (Tuesdays 1.00-2.00, Wednesdays 12.00-2.00 (Training Room, Blue 1, Main library))
I will be there each session to answer any questions you may have - You may just want to find cases more easily and reduce the amount of time it takes you to search for case materials, or you may want to find extra materials for an essay or dissertation.
You don’t need an appointment to come to a drop in session and you don’t need to stay for 2 hours...unless you really want to.
If you can’t make a drop in session, you can send me an email at email@example.com any time and I will help you as best as I can.
LexisLibrary Online Certification Test
If you’re applying for vacation schemes, training contracts or if you would just like a challenge, the LexisLibrary Online Certification test can help you.
The aim of this scheme is to provide you with a certificate that proves to employers that you are serious about undertaking a career in the law. The certificate will demonstrate to possible employers that you have reached a level of competence in our online research services that will ensure that you are an effective researcher and would be an asset to their firm.
Come to special drop in sessions during February and March to get the advice needed to take the test.
The test is comprised of 15 multiple choice questions that will test your online legal research abilities on LexisLibrary. You will have a maximum of one hour to complete the test and must get 13 of the 15 questions correct to pass. Once you pass the test, a certificate will be sent straight to you via email proving your research abilities.
To book your place at a drop in session email firstname.lastname@example.org (booking isn't essential, it just helps me to know numbers). If you would prefer to take the test individually, send me an email and I will give you the information you need.
