The end of term is approaching and with it the end of my year as a LexisNexis Student Associate. And what a great year it has been!
I've met some fantastic people through training, meetings and through my postion as associate here at the University of Kent and I will miss this all next year when I'm sunning myself on a beach near Bordeaux (or on Erasmus as it is more commonly known).
I'm hoping that my job will become available for my fourth year when I return but I know that the chances are slim. I would be delighted if this were to be the case as it would allow me to bombard everyone with 'useful' emails and to think of ever-more ingenious ways to promote Lexis (as well as getting paid to do so).
I would certainly recommend this job to anyone who may be considering it as the experience and skills that you learn are invaluable as part of a degree, professional training and, of course, in practice.
If I do not return then I shall just have to turn to selling my body in order to provide an income. I imagine that this may be considerably less lucrative than a Student Associate position but then what's a boy to do?
