Ok, so the application process is well under way for summer placements and many of us will be attending interviews in the next few weeks. Interviews require preparation and this is where LexisLibrary comes in! How?
1. "EGO BOX"
Go to your Cases tabs and scroll down until you see the box marked Counsel. Simply type in the name of the firm you applying to or your interviewers name into that box and search for cases they have been involved in! They will always be impressed if you know about cases that they have won!
2. CURRENT AWARENESS
Use your current awareness tab to find out what has been happening in a particular area. Find out what your firms main practice areas are and get clued up on what has been going on! You could also set up an alert (if your subscription allows for it) so that you will get an e-mail with any recent developments,
3. LEGAL TERM BOX
Use the legal term box on your home page to search for a legal term. If a firm uses a certain legal term frequently and you aren't a hundred percent confident of what it means then search and if it comes up in interview, you can talk with confidence!
Hope these tips help and good with your applications!!!
