Counsel - Disciplinary proceedings - Appeal
Counsel Disciplinary proceedings. The claimant barrister's appeal against a finding that her appeal against certain disciplinary findings was time-barred was allowed by the Supreme Court. On the basis that the court was concerned with a single act of alleged incomparability, time had run from the date when the continuing act had ceased, not when it had begun. Further, the present proceedings against the BSB, which had been commenced on 21 February 2013, had been commenced within a period of one year beginning with the date on which the act complained of had taken place.
