Sentence Detention. The Court of Appeal, Criminal Division, in dismissing the defendant's appeal against a sentence of eleven year's detention in a young offenders' institution for wounding with intent, held, inter alia, that the sentence imposed had been permitted by the Definitive Guideline on Assault issued by the Sentencing Guideline Council and had been neither wrong in principle, nor excessive.
