The Case
Sentence Imprisonment. The Court of Appeal, Criminal Division, allowed an appeal by the defendant against an indefinite sentence of imprisonment for public protection imposed for robbery, on the basis that the judge had not been correct to conclude that the defendant posed a significant risk of causing serious harm to the public, as was required by statute.
